Food processing and fishing. Gqeberha sits on a working harbour with a serious fishing fleet behind it, and the city's food processors — calamari, hake, pelagic species, citrus going to export — all need buffer cold storage that scales when the catch lands or the harvest peaks. Local context: Coega, the harbour, and the N2 corridor
Gqeberha's industrial geography is unusual. You have the deepwater port, the older industrial area around Markman and North End, and then the Coega Industrial Development Zone twenty minutes up the coast — a dedicated SEZ with its own port at Ngqura. AquaCat delivers across the lot. Coega's deep-water capacity makes it a natural consolidation point for export reefers, and we work with operators staging cargo there ahead of containerised shipping.
The N2 corridor between Gqeberha and East London is also a serious agricultural and logistics axis — citrus, dairy, and pineapple country running up the coast. We deliver to both cities on the same logistics planning, and customers occasionally take a unit in PE for a short campaign and then move it to East London for the next one. That is fine. We move it.

Reefer pricing depends on size, term, site access, and whether you are running on grid or generator — quoting it generically would be inaccurate and we would rather give you a real number than a placeholder. How quickly can you deliver to Gqeberha from Ballito? Standard window is 4 to 6 working days from order confirmation, including the road haul, on-site commissioning, and verifying the unit is at temperature before we leave. If you have an emergency replacement need, tell us — sometimes we can compress it.
Do you deliver into the Coega IDZ and the harbour precinct? Yes. Both are regular sites for us. Coega has its own access protocols and we coordinate gate clearance with your facility manager ahead of delivery. Same for the harbour-side cold stores.
